Terrys Visits to the North West.

on Feb 3, 2018 |

Our CEO Terry Murphy is visiting the NWR on Friday 23rd March and Saturday 24th March. This is an ideal opportunity to ask him all those burning questions about the Guild, HO future plans, problems and challenges. These will be informal meetings, and Terry is willing to answer all questions from the floor. Due to the size of our Region it has been decided to give members a better chance of attending the sessions by holding two sessions, the first in the Middle to North, and the other in the West and Lower half- sounds like ‘Game of Thrones’!!! Friday 23rd March– Barton Village Hall, 844 Garstang Road, Broughton, Preston PR3 5HE 12.30pm to 3.30pm. The hall is situated on Garstang Road (A6) and can be reached by exiting M6 J32, and heading for A6 North Bound. The nearest Railway Station is Preston, but you would need to either obtain a taxi, or walk to Preston Bus Station and get a 40 bus which goes to Lancaster via A6. The Hall has ample parking and disabled access- we will be serving light refreshments only- We would like to know approx how many members will be attending- so please contact Sue Chisnall-Sumner -suechisnall@btinternet.com or T01772 461714   Saturday 24th March– All Hallows Centre, Greenhill Road, Allerton, Liverpool L18 6JJ- it is opposite All Hallows Church, which is signposted from Allerton Library or can be reached from Greenhill Road, just passed the Territorial Army Building opposite the Tesco Store. Buses No 86 or 86A from Liverpool (Not 86C) Further details from Vicky Williams – uksweetmeats@blueyonder.co.uk – again Merseyside would like to know approx figures from each branch attending their...

Natural Progression Textile Group’s Exhbition at Avant is up and running, and looking pretty good. We have been joined by three new members whose work brings contrast and diversity to the overall look. Most of the work is for sale, and the event is well worth a visit. The cafe at Avant Garden Centre is pretty good too. The exhibition comes down on Wednesday 24th January, but then moves to Shevington Library on from 2nd February. We will be exhibiting additional small items there so more to see!!...
