‘Kantha with Inktense’
A relaxed mini workshop using slow stitch with
Margaret will demonstrate how to apply a simple winter tree design using Inktense pencils and water to a background fabric, and then how to stitch the tree using Kantha Stitch. You will be able to work along with Margaret to produce a small sample. A short requirement list is attached.

A5 Piece of white cotton
2 A5 pieces of muslin
Green, blue, brown inktense pencils these may be bought separately. However, it is worth thinking of investing in a small tin as they are very useful to the textile artist.
Small to medium soft paintbrush, jar of water.
Preferably Sashiko thread in blue, brown and green or embroidery thread.
A copy right free internet image of a winter tree (these are easy to come across or a sketch if you prefer)
If you have done kantha before and want to choose your own image please do but keep it simple and adjust your colours accordingly.
