I visited Warrington branch with my friend Caroline on 5th March. We had a really friendly welcome, a good cup of tea and excellent biscuits- what more could we want?
In fact more was to come- Stephanie Bonneau gave a great talk on Goldwork, with photos and samples of her work, which included Goldwork, Tambour Beading and Silk Shading. She has had extensive training, and worked with some prestigious companies. She now runs embroidery classes in Liverpool, Manchester and London.
Here are some photos of her work (given with her permission) As you can see some stunning work which I am sure inspired all the members and visitors.
In addition I bought two more ‘essential’ books, some ‘much needed’ machine threads, and won a raffle prize of some beautifully made cards- I think Caroline has already picked her Birthday card out.
My thanks go to Irene for inviting us.
