Myself and a Friend were invited to a meeting at Wirral Branch, and despite the bad driving conditions on the motorways, we arrived safely just before lunch to spend a day on the Wirral, and attend the EG meeting in the evening.
Well worth the visit in all aspects, Port Sunlight and Lady lever Gallery were very interesting, and the speaker Tina from ‘Needles and Sparkles’ was fantastic. Tina has had a very varied life, from working for well known textile companies such as Hand and Locke,to making clothes for The Queen. She gave us plenty of snippets and information, backed up with a colourful presentation and samples.
She specialises in gold work, dressmaking and embroidery, and was initially taught at RSN.
A great day out-
Here are some photos of her talk (with permission)
