The Exhibition will be held at PR1 Gallery, Victoria Buildings(off Fylde Road) UCLAN Preston PR1 7HD- 7th – 23rd April

The exhibition SYNERGY focuses on the physical and social aspects of the cotton mills. The group have conducted months of research and this will also form part of the exhibition, which touches on subjects as far ranging as the architecture; Dunkinfield Tower Mill which is the only cotton mill in production in the UK; the poetry and life and times of Ethel Carney Holdsworth; Child labour and the factory acts and a portrait hanging in The Harris Museum, Preston, of the ‘Half-timer’ painted by suffragist Patti Mayor, carried on a women’s march in London by Edith Rigby, and more.
